The Northern Division is a military formation led by General Francisco Villa, who scored important victories in the struggle of the Mexican Revolution. The Northern Division was composed mostly of townspeople, ranchers, cowboys, foremen and other elements of the rural population in northern Mexico. Thereafter, Villa retreated to Chihuahua, and the Northern Division began its spread, until being reduced to a handful of men who was always faithful to his boss Pancho Villa. Whether acting as the famous guerrilla came north in 1916 to attack the town of Columbus, New Mexico.
